Cliff Skerry

Yesterday’s photo was taken from Cliff Skerry (see below), Shetland. In the background is Muckle Flugga, beyond which is Out Stack, the most northerly point of the UK. I will add photos of both Muckle Flugga and Out Stack over the next few days.

The football pitch was used by lighthouse keepers in the 1970’s for “a bit of exercise”. A rope bridge was erected between Muckle Flugga and Cliff Skerry to faciltate access to the pitch.

No one volunteered to be ball boy!
