Five Years and Counting

Upon leaving Soay, St Kilda (see below) on 29th August 2007 I became the first person to not only land but also sleep on all of Scotland’s 162 islands that are 40 hectares and above. I had completed the feat in less than four years.

Upon completion I made the statement “That I believe the feat would not be repeated in my lifetime and if it was it would not be within 10 years.” It is now five years and I am unaware of anyone attempting to sleep on all these islands but I am aware of a few folk who are attempting to land on them all.

If anyone does attempt this feat I would be most interested to hear from them and would offer whatever support I can.
