East Riding of Yorkshire Boundary Road Signs

Since February I have been engaged in extensive communication (86 emails to date) with “the powers that be” with regards what I consider illegal East Riding of Yorkshire boundary road signs.

I am of the opinion that those signs erected to mark the boundary of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council administrative area breach the Traffic Signs Manual and fundamental legislation as “Signs must give road users their message clearly and at the correct time. The message must be unambiguous and speedily understood”

The signs are clearly ambiguous as they state East Riding of Yorkshire not East Riding of Yorkshire Council administrative area to mark the  East Riding of Yorkshire Council administrative area boundary.

The area represented by the council covers a different area to the East Riding of Yorkshire.
