After last weeks successful Pocklington Victory I was amazed to come across further parking issues in Pocklington yesterday. Once again the East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) have removed 30cm from the width of parking bays, this time on Railway Street.
I can see no justification for this, apart from the desire to raise revenue, as a phone call to ERYC confirmed that a PCN (parking ticket) would be issued for those who do not park within the marked bays.
I have submitted the following complaint to ERYC.

Subject: Complaint – Railway Street Pocklington
Could I please refer you to https://andystrangeway.wordpress.com/2015/03/30/yet-more-pocklington-parking-issues/
As I can see no justification for reducing the width of parking bays on Railway Street, Pocklington I would like to register a complaint and request that they are returned to the original width to allow cars to legally park.
