Pocklington Parking Success

This is my third successful parking campaign I have had in Pocklington in recent months:

  • Re-widening of parking bays on Market Street, Pocklington
  • Removal of taxi rank on Railway Street, Pocklington

Dear Mr Strangeway

Thank you for your e-mail below.

I will ask our Licensing team to take a report to the next Licensing Committee to seek approval to consult on the removal of the rank. This process will take up to 3 months to complete depending on objections received.

With regard to the figures supplied on how many PCNs have been issued to none Taxis parking in the taxi bays, I can confirm that the figures supplied to you under the FoI Act were for all taxi ranks in the East Riding of Yorkshire and not just the two parking bays in Pocklington. I apologise if the FoI officer has misunderstood your request.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Director of Environment and Neighbourhood Services
