This morning I learned that although Sherbuttgate and Broadmanor, Pocklington have recently had their roads fully repaired those in the Wold Road area of Pocklington have yet again been ignored.
This is despite the fact that those in the Wold Road area are in much worse state than those in Sherbuttgate and Broadmanor prior to being repaired.
This is a disgraceful situation. East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) must repair those roads in the greater need of repair first. Could it be that the Wold Road area is treated as Pock’s Poor Relation due to lack of influence at ERYC?
Pot Holes Compensation
Any idea that residents of the Wold Road area will receive compensation from ERYC for any damage caused to their vehicles by pot holes can be discounted due to evidence from a Freedom of Information Request.
With regards the 2011 figures ERYC stated:
“We can therefore advise that the £130 related to 1 claim. The other claims made for damage to vehicles caused by potholes were successfully defended and no compensation was paid.”
In plain English: “We failed to maintain the roads, this damaged you car but prove it”

Could I please refer you to https://andystrangeway.wordpress.com/2015/07/30/wold-road-pocks-poor-relation/
As the Wold Road area of Pocklington is clearly being treat as a poor relation I would like to register a formal complaint and request that roads in the Wolds Road area are repaired as a matter of urgency.
