UKIP Official Insults Yorkshire Flag

Yesterday I received an email from Colin Hill, Secretary of East Yorkshire UKIP, in which he stated:

“Nobody cares about the colour tone of an invented flag Andy. Real flags are what people fight under and die for. They aren’t invented to represent a tax district.”

A flag reflects the cultural heritage of that which it represents. Mr Hill is insulting the flags and people from across the UK from Shetland to Yorkshire and County Durham to Sussex by stating their flags are not real flags.

UKIP must expel their official from their party. It is of no importance that Mr Hill once again claims he is writing a personal letter before entering into yet another tirade of abuse.

Of course if UKIP chose to endorse Mr Hills insulting people’s cultural heritage by saying their flag is not a real flag then it shall be for the voters to decide.

Hopefully the East Yorkshire UKIP membership will do the right thing and not re-elect Mr Hill at next months AGM.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Could I please refer you to the forwarded email and

As Mr Hill has insulted many UK counties and their people I believe UKIP must expel him from their party.

Mr Hill has insulted our Yorkshire cultural heritage and that of many other counties including County Durham, Shetland, Orkney, Sussex, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kindest Regards,

Andy Strangeway
