Pocklington Town Council Breach Legislation

On 16 October 2015, as part of a Freedom of Information (FOI) request, Richard Wood, Pocklington Town Council (PTC) Clerk, supplied me with the invoice below (redacted by me),

With Redaction (2)

Information received via a FOI request enters the public domain and can be published. PTC and all public bodies MUST redact all confidential information. Richard failed to do this, his failure:

  1. Breached the FOI Act
  2. Breached the Data Protection Act
  3. Could have resulted in identity theft

I immediately informed Richard of this. Richard has not had the courtesy to inform me that he has received the email and if any action has been taken.
